another rained out golf Wednesday, but looks like Thursday & Friday both could be pretty good so I may have to play twice this week...called my old pard Rich Worley to fill in for regular buddy Jerry, who wont be able to play this week, and Rich will come up and play Thursday with us...he is a long ball hitter as Jerry is so maybe by not having to play twice as well by carrying me Jerry will heal up enough to carry me next week and Rich can carry me tomorrow with his driving and chipping...dont now why either tolerate me , but glad they do...just took my favorite driver in yesterday to have it rebuilt as I cracked the head on it last week and this wannabe golf guy kept telling me how he could improve my strokes and improve my stance and improve this and that and increase my drive by fifty to hundred yards yadadada...I told him if I could play the game good enough to be competitive it would not be as much fun and add stress to it as I would feel pressure to achieve more...besides if I could beat anybody I dont think the guys would tolerate all the other nonsense that comes in a package of me...he never did get it, but thats OK...sure get tired of people trying to improve me to where they think I should be when I am already a few steps of them...can you imagine how intolerable a snob I would become if I were to be good at anything?...LIG!!
