This is an critical time for refugees from Burma. Dr Cynthia will be in Canberra to try to change the Australian governments decision to stop funding for the Mae Tao Clinic. A decision that will prevent many communities in need - refugees, unemployed workers, poor farmers, and migrant workers - from accessing essential health care, including maternal health, eye care, prosthetics for land mine victims, child health, vaccinations, HIV services and counselling and the training of medics. At the talk, Dr Cynthia will be joined by other community leaders from Burma to speak about the current and future situation faced by Burmese refugees living on the Thai Burma Border. This will be Dr Cynthias only public event in Canberra! Please come along and show your support.
