biography Los Bunkers is a Chilean rock band originally from the city of Concepcion . They are known for their contemporary rock style , influenced sounds of the 60s and 70s, and older and groups from The Beatles to The Three incorporating additionally root sounds from folk , heavily inspired by the New Chilean Song . history the beginnings The Bunkers are from the city of Concepción, Biobío Region , southern Chile . Two of its members ( Alvaro Lopez and Francisco Duran ) are known circa 1996 at the Salesian College of Concepcion , where they became part of several bands , including The Pol Chefer Band with drummer Alejandro Silva , dedicated to playing covers of groups of the 60s. This band was also composed by Gonzalo Lopez and already had their own repertoire . The other two members of The Bunkers, ( Mauricio Mauricio Duran and Basualto ) are in the School of Journalism at the University of Concepción , forming part of a group that played songs by The Beatles , called The Biotles . Another project was Grass , a quartet that formed Basualto , M. Duran, Pedro Araneda (also bassist Pettinellis ) and Cristian Coyote Smith . In the winter of 1999 was created the band Los Bunkers, with Alvaro Lopez on lead vocals and acoustic guitar , Gonzalo López on bass, Francisco and Mauricio Duran on guitar and vocals , and Manuel Lagos ( drummer from the time of adolescence and Alvaro Francisco at the Salesian College ) in batería.2 already at that time were concerned with the composition.
