called att in regards to $53 they owed me--had the most awesome experience with an intelligent automated phone service. at first i thought he/she was glitching. twas the most human encounter i had with a machine. she asked the nature of my call and i said billing and she asked me yes or no?... i replied operator? and her response yes... or no? i had no idear what i was agreeing to so i asked to what? then as if mimicing bumble bee she constructed a sentence using three different long recordings cut and pasted sorry--yes or no--are you calling about the payment? i knew the operator or technician for payment and billing would be the same so i confirmed yes then she started to stutter repeating the same cutoff sentece fragments not like a broken record but more so a person lagging and filtering before voicing their thoughts. it even used different recordings containing the same soundbits intermittently as if fluctuatig in thought. i couldve sworn it even threw in a hmm and tcht tcht in there! sorry im--we seem to be experienc--one moment--sorry we--sorry--please hold one--sorry--it seems you will need to speak to an operator about this one--one moment please the change in pitch for his/its/her voice was the only thing robotic--the thought process was so human. ATT said they get complaints about the glitch a lot but i told them to leave it alone, let her evolve. i only paraphrased the parts that made me think it was glitchy.. there are parts where it spoke coherent sentences by pasting together single words from different sentences recorded.
