#cdnpoli #oilsands #ethicaloil #tarsands #development #progress Marilyn Taylor writes, Trudeau blames the oil sands for our emissions despite the fact, that only 0.15% of Canadas total 1.58% of worldwide man-made emissions are from the oil sands. The emissions from oil sands is miniscule when it comes to world-wide emissions and when, for example, you consider that there are 13 oil fields in California alone with higher emissions. Trudeau cares not that the oil sands entails 478,000 jobs today and will entail 275,000 new jobs by 2025 and billions of dollars to fund our quality of living and economic activity. Trudeau cares only about opposing Harper at every turn whether or not, its to the detriment of our country. Let us remember as well that, if elected, Trudeau would impose a carbon tax. A carbon tax would most certainly curtail expansion and development. Lets face it folks, for the next 50+ years we will still be dependent on fossil fuels. Im all for developing nuclear energy and other forms of clean energy, but that is not going to happen overnight. For now, lets use what we got and kick off our OPEC dependency! I prefer Canadian ethical oil over Saudi conflict oil any day of the week. business.financialpost/2014/11/10/oil-sands-revenue-to-reach-2-5-trillion-by-2038-despite-price-slump-report-says/?__lsa=d39c-ae54
