cf.datawrapper.de/gVcHX/1/#embed (Units are in GBP) People who still maintain that the overwhelming majority of British workers have any sort of interest in dismantling global capitalism/imperialism, i invite you to take a look at the above British graph, and then compare it to the following one from amerika: pewsocialtrends.org/files/2011/07/2011-wealth-gaps-17.png (Units are in USD) Is the average poor (Least wealthy 10%) British household, which has a net wealth of £36,817, part of those groups oppressed and exploited by capitalist-imperialism, whose material interests lie in establishing a world of liberated republics, then, especially when compared with the average Afrikan household under the bootheel of the amerikan state, which has a net wealth of £3704? i think not, but perhaps that isnt enough to convince readers who dont already agree with me in this regard, even alongside the statistic that the average household wealth in the UK is a whopping £147,134, so ill provide some more numbers: - Earning $34,000 (~£22,000) per year puts you squarely in the top 1% of the worlds population by income (Note: No, it is NOT more costly to live in the First World than the Third, and in fact, the reverse is true - living costs are much higher in the oppressed nations, when measured in terms of purchasing power) - In 2011, just under 50% of the UKs entire population earned at least £22,000 per year If you dont come to the conclusion that the issue with countries like the UK isnt the richest 1% in the City of London (or whatever) after understanding these facts, and that the vast majority of workers in countries like Britain ARE in fact THEMSELVES part of the global 1%, placing their material interests right alongside those of the imperialists - in the continuing oppression and exploitation of all colonised peoples - then i really dont know what to say to you, except perhaps that you should at least admit that you only support a redistribution of wealth within the worlds richest nations, and not a worldwide redistribution of stolen value - and certainly not the liberation struggles of the worlds oppressed majority.
