dEEp PuRpLe.... my ticket from 1985, Maple Leaf Gardens, Toronto, Ontario, Canada.... a group of us went down from Sudbury by train....it says right on the ticket - obstructed view - blah!!! just before the lights went down, i told my friends i couldnt stay there....they said see ya....haha! just before i moved, and about five seconds before the lights went down, i looked behind me and saw my cousin Stephen McDavid sitting about five rows back!!! i hadnt seen him in years! he lived in western Canada! what were the chances he and i would meet at that spot at that time??? it was a great show! it was the Perfect Strangers reunion tour. Girlschool opened the show.... Epilogue: my buddies stayed in Toronto overnight, but i had to be in class the next day, so i headed back to the train station. as i got nearer to the train door, i could see my cousin (who i hadnt seen again during the concert) sitting there waiting to say good-bye to me! then the next day at college, i bumped into Rob Brennan and Wayne Cox. they had a band going (Mainstreet) and were looking for a bass player. i suggested my buddy Glenn. he joined and they went on to have a great time touring the bars for the next five years or so..... memories....like the corners of my mind.....
