dangers of being a leopard (the Benin example) the leopard is identifiable to the whole world by its spots, come rain come shine it never changes its coat. hes a predator and as such hes naturally dangerous and we can pin any killings on him. he cant defend himself because at one time he had being guilty serially of similar offences, so he is condemned even if for this particular crime he is innocent. the reason for the verdict is simple. the killer had the leopards spot and also had a strong affinity for killing, so without proper investigation he is convicted and branded for life. I read an article on Linda ikejis blog about prostitution in Italy and naturally the culprits are assumed to be Benins, the uproar that followed as readers comment will make you believe that prostitution originated from Benin and is only practice by girls of Benin origin. I weep when I read all the comments, it was bad..very very bad. I have a strong love for Benin being that I was raised up there and my mother was from there too. the Benins are not the only one involve in prostitution and as such its not a Benin problem and they have a strong traditional against it, its a taboo in Benin for a married woman to sleep with another man, it brings instant calamity to her household but in other culture it is not the case. if we go within and outside the shores of this country you will find a large number of ibo and girls from Benue engaging in this illicit trade but they are not castigated as those from Benin. I dont encourage prostitution and I strongly feel it degrades women but we should face the fact and stop deceiving ourselves. those girls being caught prostituting should also spare us that stupid excuse of being naive and promised Jobs at farms and as nannies, if u wan farm, are there not lands in naija? people are looking for nannies in Lagos and abuja... u no see am abi. I wonder why the white men keep believing this cock and bull stories. all that being said the mass exodus of young Nigerians to foreign land to suffer and degrade themselves is as a result of laziness and lack of creative ideas on their part. I would not put all the blame before our government as some would have me do because there are youths in this country too numerous to mention that have done well for themselves without the help of the government. we should seize this craze for for instant gratification, after all Rome wasnt built in a day. .......
