day 44: Bioness. pretty interesting day today. in the middle of one of her PT sessions, Jaime was asked if she wanted to try out a new machine. this company, Bioness, had a trailer set up outside so they could demonstrate a new piece of equipment to the staff. long story short, its a harness. but the whole thing is digital, and is capable of so much more than the harnesses currently used. thru the use of sensors, its able to monitor exactly where the patient is and where shes going, so it moves with you, as opposed to you pulling it as you walk. it also has the ability to pick up your weight. and not only that, but it knows when you use the stairs, so theres never any slack in the rope holding you. it can also catch you if/when you fall or slip. so youll never actually hit the ground. its amazing technology, and it was all being controlled remotely on the huge tv screen you see in the video. they had been showing the staff all day, but since J was up for trying it as part of her session, the people there got to see a live demo. pretty cool to watch. Ill post a couple more videos after. she felt great today and did great today. and when we got home, Robbie was waiting for us. we ended up at Kame and Toms having Chinese food. maybe not the best idea before my game tonite, but its been a great night regardless. which is always a bonus before date day. thank you so much for taking the time. #CarnucciStrong
