day one ...whew! Whew! This update is going to be brief because there is one word for us all right now- exhausted! It ha been a long day of travel! Some of us have been 40 hours without sleep except a nap on the plane or bus! We had a great flight to Honduras; arrived safely and on time with no problems. We were met at the airport and brought to our hotel to drop off our things. As we were boarding the van for lunch, Joy fell and hurt her foot. We ended up taking her to a hospital to find she had fractured a bone in her foot. After spending most of the day at the hospital, she is on crutches with a large cast that reaches her knee. Please, please pray for her and the difficulties this presents so early in this trip. Today has also been a day, for me at least, of again processing the way of life in a third world country. Its truly another world and so many shocking things are witnessed as you drive through the city streets. We gave our leftover lunch to a child that was selling things in the middle of a busy city intersection. Tomorrow is a full day and the first time we will spend with the orphans and teenagers. I will write more details soon...as for now, please pray for a good nights sleep for our very exhausted team and that tomorrow will be a new day filled with energy and enthusiasm to willingly serve the Lord amongst the challenges . Our rooms are hot! We are so blessed and happy to be here and especially to be reunited with the friends we have made here during our precious trips. Please pray for us! Tomorrow will be an amazing day. Our experiences here are life-changing, for certain. In His love, Amy, Delo, Joy, Phil, Joe, Shelby, Kailyn, and Kai
