en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Probable_cause Wanted to comment on my position and what i am seeing in the Zimmerman case . The repeal of the stand your ground law is a knee jerk reaction to what i feel was a misapplication of that law . People need the right to defend themselves from intruders But I do have a problem with the supreme court ruling on the probable cause law that give law enforcement agencies almost no boundaries in where , when and how the laws will be enforced . Any government agency given this much power , will see abuse of powers . I think we need to take a close look at probable cause laws and police procedures . I know that many of my friend of african american descent believe there is a racial overturn in this recent zimmerman case and I will not deny that is very possible . But I see some real flaws in our police procedure and some possible ideas to make it safer for police officers and the public . I think the use of stun guns and pepper sprays and certain non toxic gases to help in subduing and restraining a potential combatant might and should be looking into . I also found flaw in the fact that Zimmer did not apparently call for reinforcements to assist him in his persuit and potential need to restrain and subdue a suspect . Again I thinks some serious looks at police and security procedures should be looked into and ways to make things safer for both police and the public . I recently saw a video , where a police officer pulled someone over on a traffic violation , and the driver jumps out of his car and opens fire on the police officer . There is no way a police officer could be prepared for that without having to risk the loss of many innocent lives . So my idea is to devise a horn or device to attach to the front of the police cars that can activate a gas that would disable someone from doing and that and also at least putting bullet proof window shields on the front of the police cars ..... So as in the event that happens , they could activate the gasser , and be able to disable someone and get them restrained and under control .... Just my ideas on the matter . I admit I do not watch these tried in the media trials , as I always tend to think that is a hidden political agenda behind some of this . But I have looked at this trial today and agree that the officer did not use good procedure . There is a danger when law enforcement must look at every citizens as a criminal .
