ethicsstupid/social-ethics.php My question is whether or not - TopicsExpress

ethicsstupid/social-ethics.php My question is whether or not America ever had a inclusive social-ethic; or, if it truly has one today (other than making money). For example, most of us were taught as children, about and to believe in a non-inclusive (American) Protestant Work Ethic. Slavery, racism... aside; you were expected to believe in it, to subscribe to it and to adhere to it in deference to American duplicity and what was staring you in the face. It would be unfair to say that other nations arent just as duplicitous and hypocritical. The problem with America, however, is that God is always invoked, and used as its unifying principle; when most of the people who advocate for it; wouldnt know God if he stood in front of them or did cartwheels atop their heads. American duplicity and hypocrisy (particularly by its so-called leaders) in my mind; are one and the same. Agree, or do you still believe in the Dream. Our political leaders pimp God, in order to traverse the world and to engage in Satanic deeds. Ah, somebody has to say it!
