ever since my family moved from Great Britain to AZ as Father was in USAF & I really had no genre to hold onto. That was when my family moved from NC to England & then over to AZ and I felt musically abandoned cause I had really no favorite band I can escape with as we traveled and I felt alone. 1 band that I noticed but did not truly follow til AZ was Rush. They had opened up a few times while we lived in NC (1975ish) when they toured with KISS however when we moved to England in late 75, my interest rather faded due to my attention to the European style of music interest (ABBA, Cliff Richard, Leo Sayer, Bay City Rollers, ELO, etc.). Then Dad received orders in England to take us to AZ late 78. That was around the time Rush came out with Hemispheres with The Trees and my interest sparked again. Then I heard La Villa Strangiato and it secured my interest into Rush for that point forward. 1980 they came out with Permanent Waves and although SOR was the song every1 listened to in high school, I was already checking out Freewill. Then I won tickets from the local rock radio to see the Moving Pictures tour and my life in music has not been the same since. Yes; I listen & go see other bands however my catalog interests in predominately Rush from A to Z and EVERYTHING in between. I have only seen Rush 7 times total in my life (including 6 of those in the last 5 years with 3 of them at the Clockwork Angels Tour). I have been privileged (yes, privileged to see Camera Eye twice) and I had goose bumps both times. However; The song I have YET to see Rush play live...cant wait til next tour!
