every day there are signs that our city is becoming more and more a city of some consequence. the other day it was the superb peter grimes at the coc, yesterday it was the lunchtime cabaret that john alcorn presented at the jazz bistro. a musician of unerring taste, someone without peer among the practitioners of cabaret here. john will be appearing two more sundays at the bistro.
