fbc.fj/fiji/12216/bala-ready-to-work-with-people- Ba Special Administrator Pravin Bala says he is shocked with the number of complaints ratepayers have against the Ba Town Council. Bala who has previously been in charge of the Council was appointed special administrator last week. He says they need to re-establish ties between the Council tand ratepayers. “Maybe I will have to work bit over time, but let it be – I am prepared to do that and we will see that these problems are resolved. These are not very big issues – these are minor issues that can be resolved. I think the best thing is that we need to listen to people – you got to have patience and this is what I am going to do in a few weeks time.” Bala together with the acting Local Government Minister Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum met with ratepayers over the weekend. He’s taken over from Arun Prasad who was terminated earlier this month.
