first, before I forget---again---I have in my possession a texas instruments calculator with cover that was left at rehearsal some time ago by some math whiz. if its yours, see me. okay...forgive the typos; Im in a frightful hurry. I am so proud of all of you...truly. even though I cant see the show in the same way the audience does, I do see so many beautiful and tender moments, funny gags and good interaction. thank you for that! I know you join me in sending our best regards and love to Bradley price. we want him to know we support hIm and grieve with and for him and those he loves. please take a moment to thank the stage crew: rob and jaelyn (I just know I spelled her name wrong) and kate and maddie and theyll have to forgive my spelling too. they are working very hard back there. we have some glitches but please know they are doing all they can to have the stage ready for you. do give them each some love. I probably shouldnt try to do this: ill forget someone and I have no wish to do that. but Im so grateful to those who stepped in so brad could do what he had to do without fearing for us. thank you, Andrew....thank heavens for the understudies! you are a fine scarecrow. and another man of the hour is adam. I felt schizophrenic just watching him morph from barrister to crow to flying monkey. youre amazing and I hope youre up to it again for the matinee. we should be okay tonight, thanks to gabe, the soaring simian. our Dorothy, companions, and other principals..henry, em, glinda, wizard... were wonderful and fun to watch. and that toto....oh my!!! was there ever a cuter dog? thank you, madi, for being spot-on every time. (sorry, i couldnt resist) meggan, your witch continues to be perfectly delicious. I heard so many compliments about you! those winkies!!! quite wonderful! hail to the winkies! what wonderful tornadoes. the munchkins were terrific! thanks to sarah chapman for herding and helping protect the cyc. Kirkland gammon, I watched you from behind as you worked your munchkin magic. thank you for sharing your joy! and the lullabye girls and lollipop boys are enchanting. the poppies and trees are lovely! and herman! who knew that old moldy crib mattress could look so nice when dressed up by Amelia? the jitterbug was terrific; thanks to Caitlin and jenny. jenny holley...you are a great road...I think Id follow you anywhere. the ozzians were very ...green. and truly great. I need to stop. this is lengthy. but a final thanks to dr. Thomas and erin, to joretta and her skill with a paintbrush, to jan and her needle, to the wonderful moms helping wrangle children and costumes and makeup and food backstage...to the boys in the booth, to whom I am deeply grateful...and to jane. always to jane.
