for about 2 or 3 mos I have had a pain in my left hand that has been beyond compare....Ive tried to suck it up along with my knee and foot....but this has been like some kind of torture....unless you were my husband or my buddy Anna you had not heard about it cause quite frankly who has time for my small woes...... ive been going to physical therapy for a month and my knees has gone from 60% disability to 30% which is fantastic....but my hand....doesnt seem to wanna budge. I go to the very charming Dr. Hugo Davalos ......hes the Chief of staff at Mt Vernon and he operated on my sons knee.....and I guess you could say he has been around the block. So after he gives the low down and a brace....I say...how about a shot...he says a shot of Tequila and I say maybe later....maybe a bottle but for now cortisone will do. So like he always does...he fumbles around...gets the freezing stuff to numb my hand...the stuff to clean it...the needle the cortisone.....Im like...gettiup! He freezes my hand what like what seems forever......takes out his big ole needle and pops into the soft part of my hand between thumb and pointer finger....I almost jump off the table...then he pumps the cortisone in my hand...I thought I was going to pass out...i have had cortisone before but since it was so inflamed I guess that made it hurt more.....so finally he finishes.....and my lightheadedness starts to fade....I look at him...he looks at me and HE says....I hate shots.........i just cracked up....
