foreign.senate.gov/imo/media/doc/DAV13973.pdf I am ashamed to say that this is the first measure I actually read from our government and not the paraphrased "officially declared" news by news broadcast stations. As an American, that the price we pay for our political freedoms and voices is to stay conscientiously informed and seek updates from the government itself. After listening to the Congressional Congress Meeting concerning military action towards Syria, while boring a bit, the headlines that were flashed underneath quoting political leaders were misleading and biased. I am ashamed that as a American citizen who did have the chance in speak up from 2000-2008 Bush administration only criticized our national government based on biased news reports, from both liberal and conservative parties, instead of going to the American government and demanding and reading the current policies that were and proposed to be put into place. All the issues that I had and criticism that I was prepared to give should have been given to government officials who are supposed to listen to the voice of the people, instead of complaining to the wind and doing nothing about it. It is then our responsibility as the American people to go become active in our government, whether it be writing a letter, signing a petition, or starting a group that brings concerns to our government. If a drop of water erodes a rock little by little, then if each of us takes our power of as a drop of water and uses it, we will become a force that will be able to shape the rock of our American government that we chose to follow, respect, and be proud of!
