forgoing what we really like and cherish for the sake of God, will bring us lots of blessings. forteiting what we desire to propagate the gospel, will see God abundant grace bestowed on us. self-denial is the price we pay for taking up the cross and following jesus. if you want to do the work of God, then jesus is telling us to sacrifice our time finances and resources. if it cost you nothing to follow jesus, then you will get nothing in return. (mathew 16:24)
