found this comment on one of 4th dimension explained videos. this helps understand the idea of time and dimension a lot. When they say that time is the 4th dimension, theyre not saying that time is specifically the 4th dimension and the 4th dimension alone, theyre saying that time for US is the 4th dimension. What we have to understand is that time doesnt really exist. Time is your progress in a dimension/direction of space that you dont perceive in and cannot control your own movement in. Your perception of that movement relative to everything else that exists in all of infinite dimensional space is called time. For the first dimension, the 2nd dimension is time, for the 2nd dimension, the 3rd dimension is time, and thats why for the 3rd dimension, the 4th dimension is time. We are simply getting moved along the w-axis or in a 4th dimensional direction in a way we have limited control over (we can really only steer left or right with the choices we make) and cannot perceive the full picture of, so we perceive that relative movement as what we call time. All there really is is Eternity. There is no time in Eternity, and there is all time in Eternity.
