fr Asma NA: I was in this office where I ran into this lovely lady who I know for the past few years now. In the course of conversation, she told me that her contract with that project was coming to an end and she was looking for new openings. The conversation went thus: Me: What have you studied? She: Maam I have done my Masters in Sociology and have a PG Diploma in Social Work. Me: Then what is the problem? I am sure there are dozens of openings where you will easily get a job. She: Maam, just because you know me for so many years, are you forgetting I am a transgendered woman. Irrespective of my qualifications, people still hesitate to give me a job. And, then as my face crumpled in disbelief, she smiled wistfully and walked away. #377-NOGOINGBACK
