from a friend of mine - sounds like a fab idea if anyone is interested. Hi guys, just wondering if anyone is interested in helping out or know of someone in need. Poops (pets of older persons) is a not for profit organisation that have branches all over Australia. They help people over the age of 65 or those with disabilities that require assistance in looking after their pets. You can help by feedings pets, walking them and/or taking them for vet check ups. It is entirely volunteer run. I heard about these guys after a letter drop in my street and now help by walking an elderly gentlemans blue heeler x a few times a week when I take Atlas out. Ive been told that in Perth, they currently have more volunteers than clients so if you know of family or friends who need a little extra bit of help with their pets, tell them about this group.
