give thanks for my upbringing as a soccer player. from Bob Sandy through Paul Schroeder to Jerry Little and Roy Messer, all my coaches helped me find an expression for my warrior self. It has served me well transitioning to a performance artist and bringing the fierceness forth from within. oh, and tonight, rec soccer was a joy, with my son coming out eager to keep score on his little pad (6-0) or play ballboy, and our team passing well, running hard, and I felt I was simply dancing over and around the ball. never hurts to tuck the final goal in with a long left footer at game end just to make sure the kid sees his dad score too :)
