h Bale- The new most expensive player in football history bought - TopicsExpress

h Bale- The new most expensive player in football history bought by Real Madrid for 85 million pounds. No doubt that from the get go he is the top transfer for the season not only because of much he was bought for but because he is going to Real Madrid. The pressure is on for him because Real Madrids last record breaking buy has over 150 goals in just over 150 games (CR7). With Spurs he did not win a single trophy and he is now on a team obligated to win every trophy, hopefully for him and Real Madrid the pressure wont be too much for the young welsh player to handle. Mesut Ozil- second on my list for a number of reasons. First off because he chose Arsenal a team who during his own professional career has not won a single trophy. Second because arsenal has finally spend their hard earned money on a brilliant player like Ozil and will surely be a contender on all fronts now. And third because Gunners paid almost 50 millions pounds which is more than double the amount they paid for their most expensive team signing in gunner history (Arshavin). Gunners are making a statement with the German signing and will probably be fighting for more than 4th this year. Mario Gotze- The future of the german national team may now very well be the future of Bayern Munich, almost 40 millions euros landed the young German player before his former team (Dortmund) played his new team in the champions league final of last season. There will be much pressure following Gotze as well as Bayern to follow up one of the best seasons in European football history, will they repeat? Will Gotze be an important part if they do? Time will tell if it will be the top transfer of the season or if Pep Guardiola stacked up his midfield blindly. Radamel Falcao- Nearly promoted Monaco paid nearly 60 millions euros for the most sought after player in the world. But why did Falcao choose a team who has only the League to play for? During his first three games he has showed that he wants to make history with this club that just 10 years ago was in a champions league final, the Colombian along with a few other signings are looking to give PSG a run for their money because they basically walked to the league title last year. Falcao is one of the top paid players in the world and he is out to show that his salary and hype fare justified. Isco- If not the best one of the best players under the age of 23 in the world. The next in line for the “Roja” to take Xavi’s and Iniesta’s places. In three games already 3 goals and an assist proves that so far so good with the young Spaniard that was purchased from Malaga for about 30 million euros. The heart and soul of a Malaga who was knocked out controversially by Dortmund last year in their first European competition is looking to make a mark at Real and certainly has the talent to be an asset to help Madrid win their 10th champions league. Neymar- The hype is over and it is time for Neymar to prove that he is not only a promise in world football but a reality. Nearly 60 million euros to land the young Brazilian at Camp Nou resulted in one of the most expensive players in Barca history. He has already proven to be factor in the Spanish Super Cup but so far that is all. He is not on his home Brazilian turf anymore and defenders are making that clear to him. But did Barca really need him? Was he the missing link that barca needed in the humiliating semifinal last season? Time will tell he has to know that Messi is the main attraction at Barca and if he can accept that and help with that Barca may take more than just the league this season. Edinson Cavani- The last star that the Serie A had and he is now with PSG for 64 millions euros one uping rival money bags team Monaco. He scored 30 goals last season and will look to score more as his team is fighting on all fronts this season and after that bittersweet series with Barcelona (where they did not lose in either leg) they are a hungry team. “El Matador” will be reunited with former Napoli teammate Lavezzi and along with Zlatan they will be a force to be reckoned with in Europe this season. Kaka- “Kaka has come back home” is what a lot of Milan followers are saying to the former Balon d Oro winner that helped them achieve their 7th champions league title. Although on a free transfer Kaka will be out to show that class never fades and will look to make up for lost time. With Baloteli and El Shaarawy in front of him they will be giving Juve and Napoli a run for their money. Roberto Soldado- 28 year old striker has finally left spain and is looking for a new challenge. Spurs stacked up to get nothing shy of the top 4 this season and the former Madrid, Valencia and Getafe man is looking to make an impact not only for him and in England but for Del Bosque as well because the Spanish national team while strong Is in need of a striker. And he is definitely a 20+ goal a season striker which is something that Tottenham has been needing for years now. Erik Lamela- Over 30millions pounds for a 21 year old who played in AS Roma who is not even in Europa league? The young argentine is a big promise at the moment because he scored over 20 goals last season but to come to a team that wins even less than the team he came from it seems that spurs may have over paid for the young prodigy but his skill and heart is undeniable. He cost more than Kaka, Isco, Soldado, Navas, Negredo, and almost as much as Gotze hopefully for Spurs they have bought the next great world footballer for what they paid.
