he government railway police rescued a 12-year-old boy at the Secunderabad railway station here on Friday.According to M Kantha Rao, superintendent of police, the boy, Suraj, hails from Gudihatnur in Adilabad district.On Thursday, he and his mother went to the Secunderabad railway station to board a train to Bangalore. While his mother was buying tickets at the counter, the boy went missing. When he was loitering on the platform, railway police noticed and rescued him. On being questioned, he gave them his parents’ details and mobile number. The police then contacted his parents over mobile phone and handed him over to them. WORKER ARRESTED: Railway police arrested 57-year-old railway pointman who abused a co-worker in an intoxicated condition at Old Yard Master’s office at Bellampally railway station.The victim, Sekhar, approached the railway police and lodged a complaint. Based on the complaint, railway police registered cases and took up investigation.Investigation revealed that the railway pointman, Mynabo Bapu, had been abusing and assaulting Sekhar in drunken condition. Police arrested Bapu on Friday and produced him in the court. TEACHERS, STUDENT HELD: The GRP arrested two teachers and a student who abused a woman sweeper at the parcel office at Bhadrachalam Road railway station.The arrested persons are K Venkata Ramana (28) and G Mohan (24), teachers in Khammam; and E Vijay (22), a student from Kothagudem. The trio, in a drunken condition, abused the female sweeper two days ago. Acting on the victim’s complaint, police arrested the trio on Friday.
