heard some very sad news today. After popping into Clarkes Cameras in town to find some tripod screws to make a Go Pro pole, I got to speaking with younger Mr Clarke (who asked me who I was when I kept referring to his Dad older Mr Clarke) told me that my old Photographic teacher Mr Flanagan passed away a couple of years ago. I wasnt even aware and it kind of knocked me over! While He wasnt inspirational for me in the earlier years of my photographic career, He was the chap who taught us lot how to use all the gear and was always a patient and very accommodating teacher without whom Im sure we would never have got anywhere. While not inspirational, I suppose more importantly, He was critical to our development in the subject. RIP Mr Flanagan, thanks for all the tips and tricks. I hope youre enjoying you Leica somewhere up there, now you really have the time!
