here is another awesome entry from Tomax. Race: Drow’resh Leader: Shade Slayer Aleph, former Nexus-Prince of K’aresh Classes: Rogue, Mage, Warlock, Priest, Hunter, Shaman, Warrior, Death Knight Physical Appearance: The Drow’resh appear as dark skinned, white haired humanoids with features that would suggest elven ancestry. Most Drow’resh bare silver astral markings on their face and hands as a reminder of a home lost and a debt of vengeance yet to be collected. History: The Drow’resh are not native to the world of Azeroth, but their entry into it has put them in the shadows of the existing conflict between the Horde and Alliance for years. Their home planet, the desert planet K’aresh, was once a thriving hub of technological advancement. That is, before the appearance of the Void-Lord Dimensius the All-Devouring. After the Void-Lord arrived, the planet was consumed by the Twisting Nether. K’aresh and the surrounding planets where lost within the arcane and the void… but, some survived. The cities K’aresh, ruled by a council of Nexus-Princes, were barricaded by technology commissioned to shield the cities. To escape the Twisting Nether, they planned to project their essence into other realities as the enigmatic Ethereal. Before the projection happened, there was a faction from within who were not content with simply surviving. K’aresh had burned and while there were cities that survived, the Void-Lord was still in the cosmos, devouring other planets. They would not forget and they would not forgive. Led by Nexus-Prince Aleph and rogue scientists, a small contingent found a way to harness the void and arcane energies of the Twisting Nether to slingshot them across the universe, ultimately landing them in Northrend. Upon arriving in the harsh northlands of Azeroth, sickened by the atmospheric change and weakened by the effects of cross-dimensional travel, most of the travelers died and those who survived began to heal by absorbing the elements. This ability manifest itself through their exposure to the Twisting Nether. As they recovered, they encountered a powerful Nerubian, the Spider Queen, Drow’anak. Having lost her clutch and home to the Lich King’s corruption, she sensed within these strangers the same burning hatred that she had for the Lich King, struct an alliance with the former Nexus-Prince, and helped them heal within the depth of Northrend in exchange for their services in reclaiming Azul’Nerub. Taking on the name Drow’resh, Nexus-Prince Aleph took up the banner of the Spider Queen, the title Shade Slayer, and vowed that he would lead his people back to the stars to exact vengeance on the Void-Lord. As a visible reminder, he marking himself with arcane energy over his left eye, a mark in the shape of a star, with this promise: “Dimensuis will choke on the planets he has consumed and we will be the knife in his neck. We are the Drow’resh… the venom of K’aresh.” Faction: On K’aresh, Nexus-Prince Aleph was a renowned opportunist. Though these rumors swirled around many circles, no one could quite pin them to a particular source before they disappeared from all records of existence. As a result, the Drow’resh are not bound to a single faction, but are known to take the best offer available if it will progress their goals. With eyes fixed on the stars, the divisions between Horde and Alliance do not concern the Drow’resh. If the coin is good and the rewards shiny, they would happily serve alongside a faction one day and sell its leaders into slavery the next. The ability to change factions is reset weekly. Racial Traits: “I’m Looking Forward to Our Negotiations…”: The calculating nature of the Drow’resh allows them to receive Exalted reputation discounts from all vendors. “Twisted Exchange”: Magical absorption. Magic damage received is reduced by 10% and the mitigated amount of that damage is converted to the class’ resource (Mana, Rage, Focus, etc.). Racial Ability: Darkvision: The Drow’resh enters a battle haze, blinding enemies with void energy and increasing their critical strike.
