hi - the aspirational writing session of last night came up with ... we will be true to ourselves, being open to each others dreams and ideas, as we explore questions of faith in engaging and creative ways comments would be good from people in the community who couldnt be there. we also came up with a program of sorts: Easter Day: some people are around on easter day (most are not) so we thought wed go together to the cathedral 1030 service on easter morning as an experience together. the next gathering will be on May 11th ... taking the theme of John 10:10 living life to the full and tieing that with a round up of the ROL statements. Ill be planning this with whoever would like to plan with me. 18th may - Quiz night at the Barge 8 June The gathering does Godly Play - Howard and Sarah to plan 22 June Quiz night at the Barge 13 July - the gathering does outside spiritual treasure hunt - David and Rachel to plan we were also loosely talking about having something extra during a week night with more of a prayer, worship and bible focus ... and we will put these out there when we know what we mean we wont all be able to make all dates (one of the quiz nights may not work for me) ... but we are acknowledging that we have said all along that to grow as community we need to be meeting more than once a month ... so we are providing the opportunity to get together ... but i would hate this to put guilt on people who could not attend ... our commitment to God is not reflected by how many things we go to! so ... put those in your diary please :-)
