hi friends, well he did it!! Nik Wallenda 7th generation of the world famous "Flying Wallendas" just walked the high wire across the GRAND CANYON!!! it was so freaking cool! no nets, no tethers, 1500 feet. he had a camera on him looking down on the little colorado river. absolutely stunning view. here is the trippy part of the story, 17 years ago i lived in a trailer park owned by some of the wallendas and it was next to the field where they still practice to this day in sarasota. Nik wallenda started walking wire when he was 2 years old. he is 34 now. i could sit on my porch and watch them practice and was able to meet at least 12-15 wallendas. what a great experience that was.
