hide volume icon from taskbar Switch into the desktop of the system and locate the ‘Start’ button. Once you find that button, make a single click on it and choose ‘Control Panel’ from the start menu. The ‘Control Panel’ window will then appear on the screen with lots of settings options. Click the ‘Sounds and Audio Devices’ option available on that window. After that, press the ‘Volume’ tab become visible on the screen. This will bring up a list of volume settings on the screen. Navigate through that list and locate the ‘Place volume icon in the task bar’ option. Clear off the check box resides at the left side of that option. Finally, press the ‘Apply’ and ‘OK’ button one after the other for saving the changes made in the settings
