Responsibilities: 1) Curriculum Development:Te Reo Māori, Te Reo Rangatira, Maori Performing Arts 2) School Wide Professional Learning in Relation to Mātauranga 3) School Wide Māori Academic Achievement 400 students. 4) Kahurangi (Tikanga Rua / Rumaki/Reo Rua) Pastoral/Academic Mentoring 5) Kahupapa (Mainstream) Academic Mentoring 6) Whānau/Community Relationships 7) Member of Faculty Board Very thankful to Rachel Tūwhāngai for all her amazing work in re-framing the New Faculty to give it more autonomy and direct resourcing. Looking forward to socially engineering and co-designing brilliant futures of cultural and academic success for these Princesses (Mothers of our future generations, leaders of tomorrow). Its looks like a movie straight out of HARRY POTTER - Yay HOGWARTS Im going to be Minerva McGonagall: Professor of Transfiguration!!! We teachers are rather good at magic, you know. So excited for the new challenges and landscape adventures.
