Im not against blending genres but not much about Iggy gives me a hip-hop feel and there is a lack of authenticity to Iggys style. I get that sometimes you can spit a little fiction but if I learn NOTHING about an emcee in their entire album thats a problem. Her example of how R&B music started being labeled Neo Soul so pop artists could become the new R&B artists is spot on. Nowadays 95% of R&B music on the radio is really just pop/electronic music. Like she said. When it becomes about making a culture beneficial to everyone but the people it was built by and for originally, we have a problem.
