https://youtube/watch?v=enqo-00kHvI Mr. Siskel makes one of the same points I thought about after seeing the movie (but didnt mention it my review), which is that THE MUSIC in this film SPEAKS *PERFECTLY* TO THE FEELING AND THE FACT OF LOVE, which causes the viewer to get carried away by the STRONG FEELINGS EVOKED BY THE MUSIC, and be tempted to forego CRITICAL THINKING about the content itself. Indeed, I was so swept away by the song in the final scene, which carried through to the closing credits, that I wrote down some of the lyrics--I wrote Song: Make someone happy, just one someone happy-- so that I could listen to it online later. The music has a really POWERFUL EFFECT on the movie-viewers THOUGHTS that cannot be denied: Its as if the viewer is under hypnosis, being told by his or her FEELINGS: YOU LIKE THIS MOVIE. YOU BELIEVE THAT IT IS ABOUT LOVE. YOU BELIEVE THAT THE CHARACTERS ARE GOOD AND NOT EVIL. YOU DONT HAVE TO THINK ABOUT IT AT ALL. CLICK YOUR HEELS THREE TIMES AND YOU WILL FIND YOURSELF BACK IN KANSAS, IF YOU JUST BELIEVE WHAT THE MUSIC IS TELLING YOU AND DONT THINK ABOUT WHAT THE CHARACTERS ARE REALLY SAYING AND DOING. The way the music takes control of the viewers mind is MASTERUL, actually, and the music-induced cognitive dissonance--the unmatched feelings between the singer and the actors--is in fact the very WAY that the move-maker reveals that the someone is LYING. We know its not the singer. I am therefore being told that my analysis of the movies content is correct. And methinks Mr. Ebert doth protest too much! In other words, he and Mr. Siskel are mirroring the situation between the movie and the music, which reveals to the viewer that someone is LYING, and what Im just saying is that its Mr. Ebert, but hes only PRETENDING to lie, because Truly, the content of this movie is SHAMELESSLY MORALLY INDEFENSIBLE, as evidenced by the clips that they selected to include in their video review. https://youtube/watch?v=enqo-00kHvI
