i Glenda, I have organised a hike in the Mont Rochele reserve for Sunday 7th September. We will assemble at 09h00 in the parking area at the entrance gate into the reserve [ the turn off is at the top of the Franschhoek Pass to the left and is signposted] Permits cost R30 / person and we can pick these up from the Tourism office on the way……… let me know by SMS when you depart Capetown how many hikers are coming We will hike from the Main gate to the Uitkyk outlook point where you have beautiful views out over the Wemmershoek and Theewaterskloof dams. The hike is 7kms all told. We climb 400m in elevation over a 3.5Km distance. There is plenty of water on the mountain
