i am always curious why people refer their children as prince or princess, it must have something to do with them thinking they are actually a king or a queen themselves? its funny really, has anyone thought about this? i mean, when i have kids next time, im seriously going to refer them as slave1, gardener2, maid3.. because my kids are going to do all the chores instead of getting pampered and served. my husband thinks its a brilliant idea (in fact, i know he has thought about the same thing for a long time because once he mentioned when the kid reaches 7 yo, he can start bringing back dough) as long as we dont cross the line before anyone labels our kids as child labour. is anyone already employing this system? we can exchange notes. this post is going to piss off those who are currently employing the prince and princess system, but really, it is not my intention to offend anyone. just a difference in preference. no right or wrong, we all were brought up in different ways anyway. im just merely trying to preserve some of the things my mother taught us. although she did not treat us as slaves, but we were let go to start bringing back our own dough starting from very young age. every school holiday, you can see us working in different locations. i remember there was a year when a few of us (maybe 6-7 of us, aged from 7-10 yo), desperate to make some pocket money, gathered together (i remember my youngest sister was maybe 7-8 yo) and walked around the industrial area looking for jobs. we got hired and fired in the same day because one of my two sisters burned her finger with the machine and the boss didnt care shit. so we got ourselves fired and 5 minutes later, we went back to the factory with stones to bombard the boss before we ran off like monkeys.
