i found this website called askananny its an informative site for mothers and such. but i have one major problem with it. it encourages to give your child ipecac pills/syrup if your child accidentally swallows something toxic. ipecac, is based of of the ipecac plant root. and its been proven that there are actually certain poisons in this root, and within the pills and should never be injected. its like saying oh its a plant so it is healthy. okay, well would you eat poison Ivy? didnt think so. anyways to all the mothers out there, its best for you to shove your fingers down your child throat, hold there there, (s)he will gag 2-3 times then throw up, (dont remove your fingers from his throat) until AFTER the throw up is out of your babies mouth. if you remove them once you feel the vile, your forcing his gag reflexes to stop half way through the process, and can choke him/her in the process. and this is ONLY to be done if you baby has swallowed something poisonous
