i have come to one very definite personal conclusion ... food walks, connected to religious times ... whether at ramzaan ... or navratri / dussehra ... durga pooja ... and here i refer to organized food walks ... are just not worth it, unless, there is a very strong cultural angle ... the weather is generally hot and steamy in the july, august, september period ... the crowds are humongous ... the blanket of all pervading security is oppressive ... and, you pretty much end up eating the same old ... same old .. (a few, very few, honorable exceptions .... at hiked up prices ... so though the intentions of the organizers are great ... as in yesterdays Mystic Foodie Mantra and Immigrants Projects Presents Ramlila Food Walk... i, for one, have decided that i have had my fill ... of course, this is just my personal opinion, and let it not deter you from having your own experience ... balle balle te shaavaa shaavaa ... have a manic monday and .... aaahaaaa ... the long week end ... cheers, guys II
