i just want to draw attention to uses of the word curvy the definition of curvy is having curves, yet people seem to use it as a synonym for overweight which is categorically wrong curves can come from two sources; the healthier alternative, i.e. bone and muscle structure, and the unhealthier alternative, i.e. adipose tissue according to definition, having naturally wide hips from inherited bone structure and having wide hips from subcutaneous fat both qualify as an example of curvy bigger women can be curvy and so can thinner women and thats a fact it isnt just wrong to use curvy to be synonymous with overweight - its harmful; the good connotations of the word are being applied to people who dont deserve it, encouraging unhealthy conditions to remain unchanged by associating them with curvy. this is also damaging to thinner girls self-esteems by suggesting to them that they lack curves when they have them just as often as heavier girls. pics related are both from tumblr and depict a really thin girl with curves and a more average girl with curves as examples of weights beyond overweight that are still objectively curvy
