i knew a close friend of mine. i knew him nearly the way i know my own self or i can go in saying to the extent that at times i knew him better than my own person. He was pious. Observing five times prayers, complete fast of Ramadan,generous in doing charity and all other good things as long as they were possible for him.The only weakness that would lie in his person was not to compromise on his sleeping hours for whatsoever reason. At times i would sweat to make him to remain awake in Lailatul Qadir. When he would remain awake for one night, he would find himself unable to cope up with the daily routine for not less than a week.... And a day came when i couldnt believe my own eyes what they were looking at espacially when they were observing keenly the reversal of the nature of the personality of that tough and trust worthy person..... And he told me that he had not slept for a complete month now but was only feeling mildly lethargic during the day hours. The reason behind this magic was nothing but was the fact that he had fallen in love with someone special no doubt for some good reasons but not strong enough to surpass the reason that encourage a person to Love Allah subhana wa tallah. This is the story of just one person but i m sure that all those who fall in love with someone mortal suffer from the this kind of an intoxication one day or the other. I could recall so quickly the criterion what Allah has set for a person to be called a believer in Holy Quran that he loves Allah swt more than anything and greater than everyone else. I doubt if i have seen such kind of a person throughout my life who loves Allah swt even equal to half of that of a mortal beloved!
