i live off 2nd and there is this young boy, about 12yrs, standing out front, said his mom was to come get him a long time ago, maybe an hour ago but hasnt. He is in black shorts and a red soccer shirt. he wouldnt let us call her cuz he said she wont recognize the number and wont answer so we said we would text, he still said no. I insisted, finally he said he was dropped off somewhere up street and came walking but got sidetracked or something. very scared. My husband and I finally convinced him to let my husband take him home. He had his 5 yr old daughter in car to help him be comfy and trust as much as we could make him safe..I know he was scared but it was better than standing on the side of the road cold. Our neighbors saw us also help him, they even asked if they can help. Hope he doesnt get in trouble for getting into a strangers car! Posting this so everyone knows we gave him a ride and that he is in safe hands until we find his home/parents. He said he lived around corner and knew how to get there. Poor kid, hope his parents dont get on him. seems he was afraid of that.
