i think it best that a couple of certain cafes stop spruiking that they have the best coffee in wodonga and maybe asking their customers what they think ,.., it might be ok to think your blend is great but if the baristas are not doing it justice then its no better than anyone else who is doing ordinary coffee on the border., there is way to much ordinary coffee around here without any depth of flavour what so ever and there is no way in hell if your cafe was in melbourne would you survive.,., at the moment there is a blend of coffee here on the border that has flooded the market and virtually no one, bar one cafe that is doing it justice and i believe its down to the baristas preparing the coffee., these kids are just doing this job because its a job , there is no passion in what they are doing .., no im not perfect but i actually give a shit when i am making coffee for my customers and my baristas are taught to do it right or the coffee goes down the sink and that has been my motto for years now and they know it or they dont have a job.., maybe next time you go to your favourite cafe and ask your barista what the definition of a latte or a long macciato is , or even order a cappuccino and see how it is served , does it look like a flat white with chocolate sprinkled on top, well if i make it , it wont look like that, so many cafes served cappuccinos like this and me being a touch pedantic the cappuccino will come with a nice dome on top and you will see quality crema around the edge.,., its a hard, competitive market out there and we work too damn hard to make a living for others too be so half hearted in what they think is a great thing and i challenge any barista on the border against my blend and its depth of flavour and the way coffee should be prepared and served..,. rant over
