** if this isnt allowed please let me know...** Suicide and Mental Illness is a crisis in America....and it has not spared our community. My name is Vicky, I lost my father to depression in December of 2010. Since then I have been fighting my own depression and anxiety disorders to bring peace to others. I work with the American Foundation of Suicide Prevention to bring you the Out of the Darkness Suicide Awareness walk. Please consider joining our fight against depression and mental illness on September 13, 2014 at Swiftys Park in Lake Odessa MI. As a community we can rise above the stigma of mental illness....together we can do anything. Reminder- half of the funds raised will be staying in OUR community to help educate others. I plan on using half of the funds to purchase educational materials for our schools to implement for our students and teachers. The second half will be going to national research, education and awareness programs. This isnt a program where your money and time is wasted....this is a chance for us to be the difference.
