~informed on this place in Spring Green,Wisconsin called House On The Rock while listening to the audiobook American Gods and I thought that it was some fabricated or exagerrated place to fit into the odd storyline, but I Googled it and flipped the search to Images and that place is insane. Its like so much more stunning in real life than I understood from his meager description in the book. I can see why people are shocked by the scope and complexity of it all. Google House on the rock Heritage of the sea OR House on the rock Infinity room OR house on the rock carousel The craziest amazing carousel Ive ever seen. Supposed to be the largest, but it has some really amazing artistry. It is supposed to have 260+ creatures featured in the carousel and none of them horses. Because as I found he stuck all the carousel horses onto a wall in another area I guess. lol Heritage of the sea room/museum has to pretty mindblowing in person considering that the hall is built around a massive freakish whale and octopus sea battle and surrounding diarama of ocean. It has to be like near 100 feet tall and it is supposed to be 200+ feet long. It has an extensive collection of model sailing ships which this guy who built the place must have collected from every place he could think of. The pipeorgan room is pritty amazing,which I read on one article that he was planning on making it a exhibit from Dantes Inferno, but for some reason did not. The Library is really cool also. Just too many crazy collections to mention, just see the website for it or read through the many google links and articles.
