inventory manager- SW Indy A distributor on the SW side of Indianapolis is seeking candidates for an inventory manager. The position is on the road 80% of the time visting customers with Company inventory onsite. Most travel is during the day only with approximately 5 overnight trips/month. Responsibilities: Travel to customer sites to conduct VM (vendor managed) inventory service Establish new VM inventories and expand new items to existing clients Recommend adjustments to fast/slow moving items for onsite inventories. Manage expenses to budgets. Transmit all orders via IMS/E-store tools. Assist the sales specialist by answering product application inquiries Document monthly customer events Identify potential leads on opportunities at VMI customers. Utilize Outlook for time management and scheduling Enter information in customer database Optimize scheduling to minimize expense and maximize efficiency. Requirements: Willingness & ability to drive Company truck & spend 5 nights/month on overnight travel Ability to learn comprehensive product knowledge Proficiency in Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, & Outlook) Experience using a customer management system preferred Experience with sales/inventory/customer service preferred Sales oriented attitude and skills Individual characteristics required:OrganizedGood time managerGood influencerSelf motivated, detail oriented Interested candidates must apply online at purpleinkllc Salary - $35-$40,000 plus benefits package
