is your laptop or PC slowing down to the point of being almost unusable? Heres a few tips you might want to try to help speed things up and make the internet a nicer experience... Start by emptying the internet cache: In your browser, go to Tools (more tools)- Clear browsing data. Select to delete everything except cookies. Now check under My Computer to see how full your hard-drive (C:) is. If its more than two-thirds full, its no surprise youll be having trouble! If it is rather full, start deleting old photos, movies etc from your Pictures, Downloads and Documents files. ideally, move the good stuff to an external harddrive for safe-keeping (you can pick up good ones with large storage capacity cheap enough these days). Alternatively, join a web-storage facility like Dropbox, to which you can move files directly so they are stored elsewhere (securely) on the internet (accounts are easy to set up and free up to a certain capacity). Once youve deleted all the junk, empty your recycle bin, go into accessories and choose Disc Clean-up, select everything and delete it all... its all junk anyway! Now download a free registry cleaner. I recommend Eusing free registry cleaner, it does the job well (see link below). Once you open it, skip any payment option (it works fine free) and click Scan for Registry Issues... itll run for ten or fifteen minutes and list all the empty registry entries that need cleaning up. Once complete click Repair Registry issues. Itll wipe the disc clean of unwanted crap! Now go back to accessories and run your Disc Defragmenter. Thatll tidy up your harddrive and get it running sweet. These basic moves, done regularly, followed by a restart, will do wonders! Also dont forget to get your updates from WindowsUpdate!
