it shocks me..... (ok it isnt all that shocking) how many people have NO IDEA how any sort of technology actually works!?! Take the microwave, how does it actually heat the food? or the telephone, how is your voice sent over the wires and then as if by magic appear in a speaker at the other end of the conversion! or something like your car engine, how does an internal combustion engine work.... Im not talking about the super technical stuff, JUST the underlying concepts and principles, that make this technology possible! If people took the time to learn a bit about the world around them, these sort of SCAMS and HOAXES would never happen! We live in a society exquisitely dependent on science and technology, in which hardly anyone knows anything about science and technology. Carl Sagan
