it takes a lot for me to speak out on others postings like this, but I am moved tonight to do so... please bear with me... While mental illness is far too prevalent in the world, it is still an individual illness. Whether biological/genetically inherited or developed through life experiences/social conditioning - each individuals struggle is very personal and specific. Through the years and having worked as a Case Manager, I have seen some of the most beautiful souls break... and it is tragic. For anyone to dare compare two who suffer in their own private and personal manner, as if its their right to judge anothers pain and emotional severity, as if there is a grade to be assigned, is just Spiritually unacceptable to me. Robin Williams life calling as a Comedian and World-wide entertainer was a beautiful gift and should be embraced with smiles and heartfelt remembrance. It is tragic that one who could give the gift of laughter to billions around the globe and yet would slip into a darkness that would bring his life to a tragic sudden end. His life, his tragic choice to take his life, nor the way the world is morning his life, is not a contest, nor a slap in the face to any other soul in this world. Frankly I am appalled at the posts that I am seeing that are resentful of the outpouring of affection and morning of his death- simply because others have died and have not been celebrated in the same manner. Its shameful that anyone should resent such in my eyes. Sorry if that offends those who will read this.. but consider this... everyone matters.... PERIOD! Every soul should be mourned... and for those of us who for decades laughed as a result of his love, light and crazy talent... we celebrate his energy and are saddened by his death. Thats all that one needs to really say.
