its over again. another year of Christmas in September Silent auction and fair. The auction brought in the LEAST amount of money EVER despite having over 100 great items up for grabs. It will bring in apprx $3200 instead of the usual $4500 in prev years. We didnt get our new and quite large Raffle off the ground at all - my fault with Stafa etc - but we did a smaller one at the fair and that went well. We will be doing a Monthly Raffle of a big ticket item tho starting in October. All that bad news and now some GOOD NEWS. The fair alone did $3422.04- the largest amount yet AND we added a 50/50 draw that netted the Rescue $150 PLUS Laura Steels Hitchcock & Ed Hitchcock donated back their $150 that they won AND CASH DONATIONS through Canada Helps and Paypal shot us up an additional $2977.02 to the total raised for the dogs this time is $9427.04. about $1000 over last year. I know much came from sorrow and guilt but we still appreciate it and if you didnt get a chance to take part this year there is always time to donate online thru petfinder/shelters/ON258.html
