ive been bicycle touring all over the sunbelt states, sea to shining sea, forth and back, for going on 7 years... before that i traveled constantly for 6ish years by motorhome, airplane, and mobile electronics calibration lab all over the great lakes, pacific northwest, and rocky mountain states for federal aviation administration, national weather service, and at&t metrology( the science of measurement) calibration work... before that i spent 9 years in the navy, 2 years schooling, 4 years shipboard, and 3 years at a shore facility, taking me many places both within the united states and abroad... in my life i have visited every united states state and territory with the exceptions of american samoa and maine. yes, that does include 49 states, every hawaiian island, puerto rico, the US virgin islands, as well as guam. i have also visited multiple overseas countries in that of spain, france, italy, greece, norway, holland, turkey, israel, Morocco, grand turk, the bahamas, cuba, thailand, japan, taiwan, canada, and mexico. easily this accounts for thousands of small towns and hundreds of mid size and large cities encountering possibly millions of people in millions of transportation vehicles and/or buildings. . throughout all of my travels, i visit public places utilizing public facilities, both governmental and commercial just about daily. today, in a public library, was the first instance in all of the time of my life to see and have the pleasure of interaction with one of these machines. could this be a sign of the demise of disposable drinking containers? i guess that depends on the choices and voices of the majority. elkay/drinking-solutions/bottle-filling-stations
