BEE legislation has created a HUGE remuneration discrepancy in the professional arena, where qualified & experienced black professionals are at a premium. Due to this it is not unheard of to find young individuals in the latter group commanding seven-figure remuneration packages where similar white candidates have to settle for half of this figure, if they are fortunate enough to be employed. This is further exacerbated by ever-increasing punitive legislation against companies that do not (or cannot) comply with racially aligned organizational demographics. In the light of this I fail to understand Tsotsibabys argument on the non-existent challenges white professionals face vs their black counterparts. If the child of the wealthy black individual I see driving his Porsche Cayenne merely exploits the unfair advantage of both his wealth & preferential university entrance and also studies hard, hes got opportunity very few whites can compete with! The solution to the problem is to start the process of the removal of racially oppressive legislation & structures. Blaming Apartheid has become an incompetence scapegoat of the government government to mask their ineptitude in producing any meaningful PDA-upliftment programs. Excluding or oppressing an economically productive group on the base of race and then instructing black professionals to compensate by being more productive, is merely stupid! Read the full article:
